Loved it. Chose place to meet a friend as good location and the plus side was the cleanliness, pleasing decor, really good service and eating a sharing starter whilst looking out to sea. Both chuffed. Well done the Jolly Roger.
First time here and very impressed. Amazing food.
To follow on from the scathing review I left a bunch of months ago which can be read below, my wife and I popped in for a meal last night (28-11-18). This was our first visit since the new owners took over and gave the place a revamp. The job they have done, and the feel of the place is spectacular. The pub has a real cozy cottage / country pub feel to it now. Very clean and well presented. The menu is impressive, and the food we both had was excellent in quality and ample in portion size.Staff were brilliant and very professional. It certainly looks like my old favourite pub, where I once worked, is back, and certainly a lot better than it ever was, which is hard to believe. A fantastic turn around by the new owners, who I wish all the luck for the future, as the effort they have invested already should pave the way for a busy business for many years to come.Well..........The level of care for a place by its owners, I think, can be reflected by their replies to other peoples feedback...... In this case, none......Talk about a down hill free fall regards the food and service. Wrong orders bought out, forgotten orders, complete lack of service, bigger chips on shoulders of the staff than on plates...... It seems as if they are trying to run the place into the ground to sell it for housing development....... A real shame, as when I used to work behind the bar, even mid week was RAMMED, food and bar. Alas now, on a Friday evening, lucky to see a dozen customers in there.Very sad indeed.....
Very impressed with the quality of the food here. The staff were all absolutely lovely. We will definitely be back again real soon.
This place really is a hidden gem! The food was great, the view was amazing and the service was fab too. This pub has recently changed hands and wow what a change! Tom and Hayley have made this pub a place to visit and a place to enjoy! We will be back!
